Eric enjoys working closely with his clients to solve problems while identifying opportunities to help them achieve their business and personal goals. After years of working for larger accounting firms, Eric joined LZCO to focus on using his knowledge as a tax specialist to help owner-managed businesses achieve their present and future goals. He became a partner in 2022 and now leads the firm’s taxation services.

Eric was born and raised in Ottawa before briefly moving out west due to joining the Canadian Armed Forces. After completing a tour of duty in Afghanistan, he decided that a career as a tax accountant may be more exciting and soon returned to his hometown. He then completed his post-secondary studies at Carleton University, obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting. Eric obtained his CPA, CA designation in 2017 and went on to complete CPA Canada’s three-year In-Depth Tax Program, which is the cornerstone education for professionals specializing in Canada’s complex tax environment.

When not at work, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. During the evenings he will likely be found consuming all forms of pop-culture which adds to his never-ending backlog of movies, books, and games. Although he enjoys playing golf, he is far from being good at it.

Ryan has dedicated his entire career to working with owner-managed businesses and not for profits in mid-market accounting firms. For over 15 years Ryan has worked exclusively with business owners and their families to provide personalized services which are tailored to their unique needs. Over his career, Ryan has worked extensively with clients in the construction and automotive sectors; incorporated professionals; and high-net-worth clients.

Ryan was born in rural Ottawa and raised in the small down of Deep River. He then completed his post-secondary studies at Wilfrid Laurier University receiving an Honors Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2007 . He completed his articling experience at a mid-size firm in Kitchener/Waterloo and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 2009 before returning to Ottawa in 2010. Ryan has been a partner with LZCO since 2017, is a licensed public accountant, and leads the firm’s assurance services.

Outside of work Ryan, along with his wife and two daughters, are always on the move and enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible. In the winter you can find them downhill skiing, skating, or snowshoeing while in warmer seasons they can be found golfing, camping or hiking.
